Pop star, fashion designer, beauty mogul and now perfumer – is there anything Mrs Beckham can’t do?
The first-ever concert I went to was the Spice Girls when I was 13 years old, and to say I walked away with a new obsession would be an understatement.

Posh Spice, AKA Victoria Beckham, was undoubtedly the prom queen of the band.
Cool and stylish, she’s been an icon ever since she first stepped up to the mic, bringing girl power to the masses while styling out a slew of daring signature looks.
After 30 years in the limelight, it’s safe to say VB has done her fair share of performances, photo shoots and red-carpet appearances and, at this point, what she doesn’t know about looking good for the camera isn’t worth knowing.
From comfortable lip tints to glow-giving sticks and a truly seamless contour wand, VB has channelled this knowledge into her eponymous beauty brand.
I’ve tried the lot, and here are some of my top picks…
THE EYELINER

Victoria Beckham Beauty Satin Kajal Liner, £30 from Selfridges
Of all her signature styles, nothing has been as consistent as VB’s smoky eye. The relaxed, slightly undone look is the type that says: “I’ve made zero effort,” when in reality it’s taken at least a handful of products and years to perfect.
VB’s Satin Kajal Liner is one of the brand’s best-selling products and makes achieving the look absolutely effortless.
A real all-rounder, this clever pencil is intensely pigmented. It has a creamy texture, meaning it’s easy to apply – so I swipe it all over my lids like an eyeshadow. Plus, once it dries, it does not budge.
THE LIPSTICK

Victoria Beckham Beauty Posh Lipstick, £37 from Selfridges
In the five years since Victoria Beckham Beauty launched, it has quickly become one of the most prestigious brands around – and the aptly named Posh Lipstick is one of the brand’s most iconic offerings.
It comes in perfect everyday colours, but my favourite is Pout, which is a gorgeous dusty pink.
I’m not a fan of shimmering lipsticks, but this one has a lovely glossy finish without being too shiny.
It also won’t dry out lips, while still delivering a good dose of pigment.
While many celebrity beauty ranges are laughed off the shop shelf, not a bad word has been said about VB’s eponymous line.
It’s clear that she hasn’t just lent her name to the project, either – she plays an integral role in creating the products.
In fact, when co-founder Sarah Creal first visited the Beckham family home ahead of developing the brand, Victoria had already laid out 15 years’ worth of beauty products on the dining table, while the brand’s tortoiseshell packaging is inspired by a bowl in her kitchen.
At the time, Victoria said she was creating products she couldn’t find but wanted in her make-up bag, like Future Lash Mascara which lifts lashes without weigh-down or clumping.
THE MASCARA

Victoria Beckham Beauty Future Lash Mascara, £32 from Selfridges
So many mascara formulas I’ve tried will smudge throughout the day, but this one won’t budge.
A hero for anyone with sensitive eyes, the curved wand lifts lashes, while the tubing formula is easily removed with warm water.
Despite being one of the biggest names on the planet, everything about the brand feels personal and considered, and the products are just as hard-working as their creator.
THE HIGHLIGHTER

Victoria Beckham Beauty Reflect Highlighter Stick, £40 from Selfridges
One of the most versatile products in the line is Reflect Highlighter Stick, which is available in amber and pearlescent offerings – making it perfect for achieving the TikTok-viral ‘Pearl Skin’ look.
I tend to swerve highlighter – as it’s often far too glittery, shimmery or sticky.
However, this nifty number is almost undetectable on skin, yet makes make-up look instantly better. If you want a “Posh” glow, look no further.
Clever formats and carefully chosen shades, a commitment to sustainability and a transparency that involves every ingredient being listed, alongside a description of exactly what it does, make Victoria Beckham Beauty a modern brand that appeals to people in all walks of life – just like the band that catapulted its founder to fame.
THE CONTOUR

Victoria Beckham Beauty Contour Stylus, £35 from Selfridges
Despite their sophisticated formulas and high-end packaging, VB’s products are universally easy to use, like the Contour Stylus which makes contouring a breeze.
Don’t be fooled by the precision wand – despite how thin it is, the creamy, semi-matte formula blends like butter on my skin, leaving me with a natural-looking contour.
THE PERFUME

Victoria Beckham Beauty Portofino ’97, £170 from Selfridges
If I asked you what you think Victoria Beckham smells like, sophisticated, unique and rich would be fitting – and they’re an accurate description for the trio of fragrances launched last autumn in the latest extension to the beauty brand.
Inspired by key moments and memories of Victoria’s life, Portofino ’97 evokes her first romantic getaway with David to Italy, when nobody but their closest friends knew about the relationship.

Victoria Beckham Beauty Suite 302, £170 from Selfridges
Suite 302 is inspired by whirlwind trips to Paris for anniversaries and, more recently, fashion shows.

Victoria Beckham Beauty San Ysidro Drive, £170 from Selfridges
San Ysidro Drive has woody, floral notes and embodies the family’s time in California.
Priced from £170 for 50ml EDP, they’re eye-wateringly expensive, yet on a recent trip to Selfridges on Oxford Street, I couldn’t get a look-in.
The queues around the stand were three-people deep, with a conveyor belt of customers spritzing the scents for themselves, desperate for a whiff of the designer’s glamorous life.
And who can blame them!
