The plans, which have finally been given the green light by the local council, will allow builders three years to put up the mammoth abode, which features a swimming pool and tennis court.
A local said: “David and Victoria’s home is pretty remote, and for a while now they’ve been able to enjoy the sweet silence of the countryside.
“But their peace and quiet will soon be tinged with the whirring of heavy machinery.”
